APPM became a leader of Russian Pulp and Paper Industry on ecological transparency in the rating “Interfax-ERA”

According to the results of the “Interfax-ERA” annual rating of enterprise environmental and energy efficiency, “Arkhangelsk PPM”, JSC took the first position among Russian Pulp and Paper Enterprises and it headed the rating of Arkhangelsk region enterprises on ecological transparency at the same time.

The “Transparency” category assesses the level of disclosure of reports on energy and resource consumption as well as environmental impact.

The dynamics of the plant's efficiency increased by almost 1% compared with 2017, the ecosystem and process efficiency amount to 64% and 69% respectively of 100% of the economy among all enterprises in the country.

“Interfax-ERA” publishes a rating based on a study of open sources - special questionnaires of participants in the rating, annual and social and environmental reports, information on fresh water consumption, the amount of wastewater and other information.

The rating is based on five criteria: energy resource, process and ecosystem efficiency, efficiency dynamics and transparency. Expert assessment is carried out at different levels: by region, by industry groups of enterprises, by type of activity. About 6,000 companies of Russia and Kazakhstan operating in the real sector of the economy were evaluated in 2018.
