Within the scope of the 16th international exhibition and forum of pulp and paper industry PAP-FOR Arkhangelsk PPM, JSC presented assessment of ecological efficiency for implementation of industry best available techniques (BAT).
"As a result of BAT implementation, complex reduction of environmental impact is definitely fixed" - such statement was expressed at session "Ecological agenda - tasks and solutions for pulp and paper industry" Chief Ecologist of APPM Evgenia Moskalyuk.
According to specialist's opinion, there is a necessity of urgent solution of tasks related to implementation of environmental regulating system, based on the best available techniques. For enterprises, which operate the facilities having significant negative impact on the environment, it is necessary to create the conditions for production modernization by way of development of regulatory framework, based on the principles of technological regulation. It was noted that the needs of enterprises are associated with national strategic targets and objectives. Along with this, the processes connected with obtaining of complex ecological permit, environmental engineering of enterprises in new conditions need to have updated regulatory acts.
Arkhangelsk PPM, JSC presented for discussion of session participants the offers for the forthcoming revision of industry reference book of the best available technologies, specified the priority issues under working conditions after the stage of complex ecological permit obtaining and drafts of their corresponding solutions. In particular, BUMPROM, RAO company offered to perform industry-based monitoring of the results of company work for CEP obtaining, passing of State environmental appraisal with summary of the results and, if required, taking corrective measures with participation of enterprises.
