On May 22, 2019, Arkhbum JSC (part of the Austrian-German Pulp Mill Holding Group of Companies) launched a new high-tech corrugated cardboard and corrugated packaging plant in the Maslovsky Industrial Park (Voronezh Region, Novousmansky district). The company has summed up business results for the past year since the opening day.
According to the Executive Director of the Voronezh site of Arkhbum JSC Irina Sherstneva, extensive work was carried out during this period. In particular, the technological equipment fleet was expanded, new units of production equipment were purchased and put into operation: folding-gluing line Vega Altair, automatic flat-die cutting line with 3-color printing (Asahi, Celmacch), and also signed contracts for the supply of quadruple printing unit and 2 infrared dryers (Celmacch) for the automatic Ward rotary die-cutting line. Additional processing lines made it possible to significantly expand the range of products, improve their quality and increase the production capacity of conversion.
The company is constantly working to improve the efficiency of existing production lines. Among the main ones, Irina Sherstneva named the modernization of the steam-condensate system of the corrugated unit (Baviera), thanks to which the company will reduce energy costs by 20%; the automation of the WSA transport system with COFAS software (“Corrugated Factory Automation System”), which implements the functions of recognizing various orders and creating a unique route for each pack of corrugated cardboard during transportation from the corrugator to processing lines.
For the year, investment costs for the acquisition and modernization of equipment amounted to 645 million rubles.
Since opening, the geography of deliveries has been continuously expanding; more than a hundred contracts with new customers have been concluded. 100 million m² of finished products were produced and sold (128 million m² in 3-layer conversion).
Sales revenue amounted to 2.6 billion rubles.
The company has implemented a quality and food safety management system in accordance with ISO-9001. On February 10, 2020, it successfully passed certification for compliance with the requirements of GOST R ISO 9001-2015.
Irina Sherstneva, Executive Director of the Voronezh site of Arkhbum, noted that more than 300 people currently work at the plant, this is a young and dynamically developing team, 60% of which are employees under the age of 40 years. In 2019, 120 jobs were created and equipped, the average salary was 55 thousand rubles/month.
The company is interested in improving the skills and development of its employees - training costs in 2019 amounted to more than 5 million rubles.
As previously reported, in accordance with the Law of the Voronezh region dated 07.07.2006 No. 67-OZ "On state (regional) support for investment activities in the Voronezh region" 27.11.2019, LLC EUROPACK is included in the list of "Particularly significant investment projects". That will allow the company to receive benefits for income tax and property tax for 5 years.
