November 20, 2020 The Public Hearing Commission of the Council of Deputies of the Podolsk City District supported the expansion of Arkhbum JSC production. "Having discussed the details of the project together with representatives of the District Construction and Architecture Committee, applicants and interested parties, the Commission specified that the expansion of production facilities will not entail the load on the transport infrastructure, as the plant uses railroad tracks for the raw materials delivery" - the Commission reported.
The hearing participants decided to approve the project.
At present, the Podolsk site of Arkhbum is completing a previously announced large-scale project of complete modernization of production designed for two years.
The global rebuild of the branch affects all main production and warehouse capacities of the plant.
As previously reported, a multi-stage project on reconstruction of rack stack storage systems has already been completed, the second BOBST MASTERLINE line, transport system and robotic palletizer have been launched.
The Head of the Podolsk branch of Arkhbum JSC, Konstantin Borumbey, specified that the main equipment of the site will include a BHS corrugator (five-layer), ЕМВА 175QS Ultima, Ward SV-2000, Bobst Mastercut 2.1 and Bobst Mastercut 2.1 lines.
The cost of the equipment is estimated at 21.3 mln EUR.
After the completion of the rebuild in 2021, the Podolsk branch of Arkhbum JSC will be able to produce about 200 mln m2 of finished products per year.
The Podolsk branch of Arkhbum JSC was launched in 2001.
Arkhbum JSC is a subsidiary of Arkhangelsk PPM JSC (the only shareholder is Pulp Mill Holding).
The main business-line is corrugated packaging.
