The new plant at the industrial site “Vorsino” of “ARKHBUM TISSUE GROUP”, LLC (the affiliated company of “Arkhangelsk PPM”, JSC, Group of Pulp Mill Holding) in Kaluga region has shipped the first batch of sanitary tissue products. The first truck (33 pallets) has left today to the North-Caucasian federal district.
As the Sales Business Unit of “ARKHBUM TISSUE GROUP” noted it is expected to ship 20 trucks to partners in February and 150 trucks in March.
The product portfolio includes double-layer toilet paper branded “Soffione PureWhite”, “Soffione Decoro Blue” and “Soffione Decoro Pink”, three-layer toilet paper “Soffione Premio” and paper towel “Soffione Menu” and “Soffione Maxi”.
Currently, the first converting line “Futura” (Italy) is started to produce the toilet paper and paper towels branded “Soffione” (capacity of 276 mln. cond. rolls of toilet paper per year) on the plant of “ARKHBUM TISSUE GROUP”.
The second converting line “Futura” (Italy) and new turn-key paper machine (PM) by Andritz AG (Austria) for the base paper production (capacity – 70 tones per year) are being installed.
As Mr.Vladimir Krupchak, member of APPM BoD, told that the startup of the second converting line and BM is scheduled for July 2019 with the opening ceremony of plant’s first line.
Earlier Mr.Vladimir Krupchak told that “ARKHBUM TISSUE GROUP”, LLC expects to capture share up to 15% of STP market in Russia. He mentioned that among the competitive advantages there is vertical integration within the group of companies, which minimizes the raw material risk due to the fact that the asset in Vorsino, Kaluga region, will operate on fine certified raw materials from “Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper Mill”, JSC.
Mr. Vladimir Krupchak named that among the factors of successful entry into the market there are own fleet of railway wagons and vehicles, which will allow the “ARKHBUM TISSUE GROUP” to optimize logistics costs, proximity to one of the most modern dry transport ports of Russia - Kaluga Freight Village, the presence of highly qualified specialists working at the holding enterprises.
