APPM confirmed the compliance of the integrated management system with the ISO international standards requirements

25 may 2021

From 17 to 22 May 2021, a recertification audit of the integrated management system (IMS) was held at Arkhangelsk PPM JSC due to the expiration of the existing ISO certificates. The audit was performed by leading experts of the certification body TMS RUS LLC. It is the official exclusive representative of TÜV in the EAEU countries and a leader in international and national certification of management systems, independent expert reviews and audits in the industrial sector, technical supervision and training.

The recertification audit was performed in a mixed form – partly face-to-face, partly remotely, in the departments of management, in all production facilities and in the department of the main specialists of the mill, as well as with the top management of the mill, including CEO. During the audit, the necessary measures were taken to prevent the spread of COVID-19 virus.

The recertification was successful. The auditors noted a number of improvements in various areas of the mill's activities. They also thanked all APPM’s employees who took part in the audit for their friendly attitude, meaningful and effective cooperation. In the near future, after the preparation of the audit report and its verification by the German partners, the certification body will make a decision to issue APPM new certificates of compliance with the requirements of international standards ISO 9001: 2015, ISO 14001: 2015 and ISO 45001: 2018.

We will remind that the first certification audit of the quality management system took place at the Arkhangelsk PPM in 2003, when the first certificate of compliance with ISO 9001 requirements was received. A year later, in 2004, the mill confirmed the compliance of its environmental management system with the ISO 14001 standard, and then, in 2006, a certificate was obtained for the occupational health and safety management system regulated by OHSAS 18001. Since that time, the mill management system has been called integrated, since it combines the three abovementioned systems. The IMS recertification audits were performed in 2009, 2012, 2015 and 2018.

The development of IMS, which is performed by using the advanced management tools, including lean production, analysis and optimization of business processes, the involvement of all employees of the mill in this work, allows the Arkhangelsk PPM to operate stably and remain the industry leader continuing the implementation of the started investment projects and planning new ones even in difficult and unfavorable environmental conditions.

Improvement of the IMS and fulfilment of voluntarily assumed obligations, including the quality, environmental protection, occupational safety and health protection, social responsibility at APPM are continuing and the company's management sets new goals and targets for the staff.
