Arkhbum Tissue Group LLC (part of CG Pulp Mill Holding) acted as the general partner of the XV Berega Festival of TV Films and Programs, which was held in Tarus from August 13 to 16, 2019.
The Kaluga branch of All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company (VGTRK) and the administration of the Tarusskiy District under support of the Federal State Press and Mass Communications Agency and the VGTRK patronage arranged the event.
This year, more than 200 essays, stories, documentaries and special reports were submitted to the jury’s approval, which is almost two times more than in previous years. The amount of contestants increased up to 180, more than 50 domestic television companies and independent creative authors presented works at the festival.
The geography of the festival participants is very wide: Yakutia, Murmansk, the Far East, Transbaikal, Karelia, the North and South Caucasus, cities of central Russia. There were 34 works in the competition final. The winners in eight categories were alternately invited to the stage.
The main award was given to Elizaveta Tereshkina, a journalist of the St. Petersburg TRC, for the screen story of plot “The Vyborg Castle Fortress”.
The festival’s special award was given to the Kaluga State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company for the “Mashka Bear” storytelling. The award was presented by Maksim Domoratskiy, Head of the Sales and Marketing Department of Arkhbum Tissue Group LLC.
“Our plant is a new player on the economic map of the Kaluga region, so it was important for us to support this magnificent sociocultural project because the topic of human values, the search for new approaches is very close to each of us,” said Vladimir Krupchak, a member of the Board of Directors of Arkhangelsk PPM. “We are confident that the festival has a bright future and that we are on the right way”.
