BOBST company will supply key equipment for a new Arhkbum, JSC site in Ulyanovsk (it is included into Austrian-German Group of companies Pulp Mill Holding). At the first stage, the scope of supply for the branch will include two lines for corrugated package production: line BOBST FFG 618 (France) and line Expertline, with die cutter BOBST EXPERTCUT 1.6 (Switzerland) with four-color printing machine BOBST FLEXO 160 VISION (Switzerland).

According to BOBST Director General Gleb Gazukin, both machines are well known to corrugated package producers, since the machines of different generations of this series are the main manufacturing facilities for small containers and SRP-boxes (showboxes). He also emphasized that market changes don’t decrease the demand for these particular lines, these machines are in very high demand.

Besides the existing corrugated board machine BHS (Germany), the plant will be equipped with high-performance equipment of leading companies from Italy, Japan and Korea.

Investments to equipment amount to 14.2 mln. euro.

As it was mentioned before, Arkhbum, JSC plans to start a new corrugated board plant in Ulyanovsk in March, 2021.

In 2021 – 2023 the implementation of the second stage of Ulyanovsk site rebuild will be commenced: four more processing lines will be installed, storage buildings will be extended etc.

Company program cost is 2.5 bln. rub.

As previously reported, the production capacity of a new plant in Ulyanovsk on corrugated package and board is 16 mln. m² per month (annual potential capacity – 192 mln. m²).

The plant will produce the goods similar to those, which are produced at Arkhbum, JSC site in Podolsk, Istra-1, Istra-2 and Voronezh: 3- and 5-ply corrugated board production, 4-valve corrugated boxes, boxes of rotary and flat die cutting.
