Ways of environmental legislation improvement discussed at Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper Mill

Dmitry Zylev, Director General of Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper Mill JSC, discussed issues of cooperation in improving federal legislation with Dmitry Mishukov, Director General of the Legal Center for Industrial Ecology.

The Legal Center for Industrial Ecology organized training for the managers of APPM departments on ensuring the environmental safety of general economic management systems. Specialists of the Center conduct such advanced training courses at the mill on the regular basis.

The management of Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper Mill is interested in expanding cooperation with the Legal Center for Industrial Ecology. More prompt and effective improvement of federal legislation is on the agenda. The Legal Center has all the necessary competencies for it.

– The horizons of our cooperation should be expanded. New challenges are emerging, and federal legislation requires adaptation to new conditions. We propose to combine our efforts in order to coordinate legal nuances as quickly as possible when changing the current legislation. Nowadays, all parties, without exception, are interested in it: the country's leadership, industrial enterprises, and the professional community, Dmitry Zylev, General Director of Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper Mill JSC, said at a meeting with Dmitry Mishukov.

According to Dmitry Mishukov, the Legal Center is ready to combine and summarize the opinions of representatives of the pulp and paper industry on issues requiring updating.

– We monitor the entire regulatory framework, give a legal assessment of legislative innovations, and in this situation we are ready to provide possible assistance to the Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper Mill, – said Dmitry Mishukov, General Director of the Legal Center for Industrial Ecology.

Specialists of the Legal Center for Industrial Ecology are also planning to take part in a research and practical conference "Ecological aspects of modern technologies in the chemical and forestry complex", which will be held in Arkhangelsk on May 31 – June 1 at the initiative of APPM.
