APPM and ROTEC signed a contract for the supply of a second turbine at a cost of 1.4 billion roubles

16 may 2022

May 13, 2022 JSC Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper Mill and JSC ROTEC signed a contract for the supply of a second steam turbine with a capacity of 30 MW. It will replace an outdated turbine unit of the same capacity under the modernization program of the mill's power system.

The cost of the equipment is 1.4 billion roubles.

The modern turbine PR-30 produced by the Ural Turbine Plant will be equipped with a predictive analytics system "PRANA", which was developed and implemented by the contractor. In the current economic situation and conditions of limited imports, the ability to monitor the condition of power equipment, predict the schedule for the purchase of spare parts and prevent major accidents becomes crucial in maintaining the reliability of power systems.

It is expected that the commissioning of modern equipment will improve the reliability and efficiency of the power supply of the mill, give a significant environmental effect, minimize downtime, and optimize the service fund as well.

The start-up of the second turbine is planned for 2024.

The total cost of the project, including the installation works, will amount about 3 billion roubles.
