On November 19, a Lomonosov Prize awarding ceremony was held in Arkhangelsk. The Governor of the Arkhangelsk Region Alexander Tsybulskiy congratulated all present with the holiday. According to him, every year the award rises and gains more authority, but not only in the scientific community, but also among industrial experts, cultural workers, scientists from other regions of Russia.
Among the laureates of the prestigious award are the authors of the Arkhangelsk PPM JSC: Pavel Fasonov and Elena Zakharova.
A high award was given to their work on preparation and publication of historical and literary two-volume book "Birth of a giant. 1934-1940" and "Time of the feat. 1941-1945».
The work on this chronicle took about ten years.
«We tried to make an honest chronicle about our past, about the people who in the time of industrial development created the industrial potential of the region, about our countrymen who won the Great Patriotic War, - said Pavel Fasonov, Deputy Head of Corporate Projects Department of the APPM, Head of the Novodvinsk Branch of the Military Historical Society. - It is very significant that we have completed the work in the Year of Memory and Glory. This year Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper Mill also celebrated its 80th anniversary».
The Lomonosov Prize was first awarded in 1998.
It is a unique regional award that marks the most significant and topical works and projects in science, technology, culture and sport.
Traditionally the award is given on Mikhail Vasilyevich Lomonosov's birthday (in 2020 - 309 years).
